The best ideas for this blog have been inspired by family, friends and client projects and this one will be lighting up my home soon…
My husband and I just wrapped up a few lazy, leisure days in Armstrong with some dear friends where the autumn colours are bursting in song. While prepping dinner I was shown some fantastic ways this household builds additional task lighting that is motion censored and rechargeable.
Check out the above photo! A spice cabinet that lights up the second you open it! The light fixture is installed under the upper shelf much like you would light under kitchen cabinets. Love this!
This very same lighting idea was also applied to refrigerator shelving. Now that’s meal planning & prep made easier with some fresh task lighting plus it makes for cleaning in a snap!
I also like the safety aspect of task lighting where it’s needed without the need for electrical installation especially during power outages. Bonus!
To help people see and walk safely around our property, we use solar powered motion sensor lighting on driveway fence posts and pathways. These are inexpensive weather friendly solutions you can source online much like the above mentioned lighting and they last for years.
My dear Mumsy always found the changing seasons difficult, especially when the days grew darker and the lack of sunlight affected her well-being. Soft accent lighting and a touch of colour can make a real difference in a living space. This fall, I met Chelsea Staver of CBR Photography and Chelsea Mats and was inspired by her creativity. Let there be light in your life and home ~ Amen to that!
