At this time of year, I need some plant therapy. I am itching to get into the garden ~ the spring project list has started and there will be much to do when the weather turns a little bit warmer. In the meantime, I’ll have to settle for some household plant therapy. Everything is looking leggy and a bit tired so it’s timely to prune and/or repot, do a little tidy up, water & fertilize, then move some plants around to thrive in a new living space. Then there’s my beloved lemon and rose scented Geraniums which have been wintering in a sunny spot but it’s time to cut them back, remove debris, and enjoy the fragrance that fills the room!
Last summer I downsized my houseplants to a collection that looks more put together and will grow in the limited light filled rooms I have ~ this has reduced maintenance.
From all of this effort any clippings can be started and shared with friends & family ~ now that is a gift that costs you nothing but some time and TLC.
For more plant therapy, I encourage you to visit your local garden nursery to walk through the plant displays then explore new seeds to grow ~ I guarantee this will lift your spirit on a cold and rainy day as it does mine.
