As the weather turns windy, wet, and cold, this is a good time to make a fresh start of your indoor living spaces so here’s a few tips from yours truly to inspire you;

  • Rearranging furniture & decor is a simple way to tweak a room especially if you have to dust under it anyway;
  • Adding a few throw blankets and cushions makes for cozy living;
  • Home heating can really take a toll on indoor plants so when it’s raining during the day, I place them out on my deck and patio to wash away dust and give them a brief pick me up;
  • I don’t think there is a season when I’m not organizing or cleaning something.  By mid November I’ll be pulling out some Christmas decorations to  add a splash of colour in various rooms;
  • Just this morning I walked Blu around the neighbourhood and picked up a few fir & cedar branches from a recent wind storm to decorate my front door planters.

As we head into shorter days, these are simple and inexpensive touches that can make all the difference to your indoor living this fall.
